This was a very good book!! Jemma was in love with Will an aspiring law student whom she has known for many years as he started working in her mother’s bakery a long time ago, Being young and in love she gave him her innocence believing that they would soon be married! She hadn’t seen him in the three days since they had been together and she was a little nervous when in he walks with a young woman and her father in tow! He led them to believe she was his cousin that he had to tell goodbye! The no good cad! All of a sudden all hell broke loose! She told him to get out! Her mother started holding her chest and two other men came in and told her mother she missed the loan payment she had 60 days to get the money or vacate the premises! She told Jemma she would write to her father he owed her for driving Jemmas father away! Then she passed out! Jemma had her sister Anne sit with her mother while she ran for the Dr. It was too late her mother was dead!! Jemms decided to write to her grandfather herself and ask for the money! Two weeks later two older men and a middle aged woman came into the bakery and asked if she was Jemma Adair and by his regal attitude she knew this was her grandfather the Duke of Rowan!! In short he packed up her and Anne and took them to England to find husband’s!!! The nerve of him Jemma told him she wasn’t going to marry but Anne wanted to go so she went! She would never trust a man again,!! Then she mt Philip Lord Harthorne and slowly things began to change! I loved this book it was so interesting I couldn’t put it down!! Everybody will like this book its got alot of twists and turns that will keep you reading til the end!! I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review!! You won’t regret buying it ! It is that good!!
